As the UI Designer, you will design the graphical user interface using visual cues to help guide users through our digital journeys. Responsible for ensuring all UI designs are accessible and inclusive and all users can understand the interface regardless of their ability, age, race, gender identity, or background. Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Accountable for driving improvements in Digital User Experience (DEX score) Accountable for developing cross-platform visual design style guidelines, best practices and standards Responsible for creating and/or maintaining a library of icons, colours and fonts that will be used throughout the product Responsible for applying branding guidelines into designs in a way that serves both the brand and our users Responsible for creating interactive pixel-perfect prototypes Support UX manager by building prototypes and high-fidelity wireframe designs for use in usability studies Responsible for collating design specifications, so frontend developers can produce the live code needed to implement it What we need from you: Knowledge of typography, colour theory and other design concepts to create pleasant graphical user interfaces High working knowledge of WCAG AA accessibility guidelines and standards, and creating user interfaces within these Experience in building low to high fidelity wireframes and pixel-perfect prototypes Experience of working in an agile squad with developers, testers, product owners and testers Highly experienced using design systems e.g. Figma Knowledge of mobile first design and native best practice and design defaults for iOS and Android Skilled in time-management, planning skills, multi-tasking and prioritisation of own workload Experience working with and collaboratively with UX / UXR / UXO teams to deliver highly usable digital experiences from predefined features and functionality discoveries A mission that gives back: You’ll also have lots of opportunities to make an impact on your personal development.
