Pay Rate: 38 p.h

About the Role
The Shared Lives Team supports carers who provide safe and supportive homes for adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and other vulnerabilities. As a Locum Social Worker, you will ensure that the Shared Lives carers deliver care that meets the required standards, promotes independence, and enhances the quality of life for those they support.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Providing support and supervision to Shared Lives carers, offering guidance and advice to help them manage their placements effectively.
2. Monitoring the performance of carers to ensure they meet the required standards of care and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
3. Conducting regular reviews of placements to ensure they meet the needs of the individuals in care.
4. Addressing any safeguarding concerns promptly and in line with local procedures.
5. Supporting the recruitment, induction, and training of new Shared Lives carers.
6. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of carer supervision, reviews, and case management.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1. A degree in Social Work.
2. Current registration with Social Work England.
3. Experience in adult social care, preferably within fostering, family placement services, or Shared Lives schemes.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build supportive relationships with carers and stakeholders.
5. Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding procedures.
6. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, as local travel is required.
