Blast Furnace Technical Specialist - Fixed Term
What you need to know about the role:
Join our team as a Blast Furnace Technical Specialist and play a pivotal role in enhancing the performance and efficiency of our blast furnace operations.
Your technical expertise will be crucial in troubleshooting, optimising processes and driving continuous improvement to uphold the highest standards of production and safety.
Whilst Blast Furnace Technical experience is advantageous, other Ironmaking area experience will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
* Provide expert technical support for blast furnace operations.
* Analyse and optimise furnace performance to boost efficiency and output.
* Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
* Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to implement process improvements.
* Monitor and interpret production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
* Participate in the development and implementation of new technologies and processes.
* Conduct training sessions for staff on best practices and new technologies.
* Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in blast furnace operations or a related technical role.
* Strong knowledge of blast furnace processes and technologies.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to safety and environmental standards.
* Proficiency in data analysis and technical reporting.
