Assistant Accountant - Transport
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified Assistant Accountant to join a dynamic, Grimsby based supply chain management business to support their transport operations. This role offers fantastic exposure to month-end processes, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, making it ideal for someone looking to develop their accounting career in a commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in month-end accounts, including journal postings, accruals, and prepayments.
* Support the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process.
* Prepare and maintain weekly KPI reports, tracking transport costs at a vehicle level.
* Analyse financial data to identify trends and cost drivers.
* Work closely with the transport operations team to understand performance.
* Monitor and track vehicle running costs, highlighting areas for efficiency.
* Assist in developing processes and systems to improve financial reporting.
* Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
What Were Looking For
1. Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
2. Strong Excel skills ability to build financial models and reports.
