What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors and Head Teacher at The Deans Primary School are looking to appoint an exceptional class teacher to come and join our fantastic school - the year group in which they work will be determined based on the successful applicant, and other internal movements of staff.
As a member of our school you will be given the professional freedom to express yourself, whilst being supported and developed personally as part of our ongoing commitment to lifelong learning for all. Equally, the character of a candidate is as important to us as their experience. If you’re willing to learn, we’re willing to support your professional growth.
We are looking for individuals with a passion for making a difference to every single child that they encounter, who is flexible in how they teach and adaptable to many different additional needs or requirements. We are a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion, so inclusivity and nurture are extremely important to us.
What the school offers its staff
In 2017 we moved to a brand new, purpose built building which opens up a world of opportunities for children, parents and staff. We have grown year on year, and we are now a full two form entry school with Nursery. We have recently undertaken a large grounds development project to further expand our ability to provide an excellent education and experiences to all our pupils, in addition to creating a sensory room, nurture area and outdoor sensory and additional needs provisions.
We continue to develop our facilities year on year to ensure we fulfill our goal of providing a world class learning environment for our children. We are very much a primary school, and we believe in primary education. We work as a team to get the best from each other and most importantly from the children. As a team, we hold each other to the highest standards, but we also have great fun learning with the children. We measure our successby the smiles and laughter that we see and hear around school, as well as by the excellent academic results the children achieve.
Further details about the role
If you want to get a real feel for our school then you should have a good look around our website, or give us a call to arrange an informal visit with a member of our SLT. If you like what you see and feel that you can contribute to making a significant difference to children’s lives then please do apply, or contact us if you have any questions or would like to visit our school or speak to the Headteacher.
Commitment to safeguarding
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check will be required for the majority of roles, and an online search may be completed in line with KCSIE recommendations.
