Job Description
We are seeking an AC Service Engineers across the South-East of England to provide engineering support to the regional client portfolio including technical and engineering needs related to contracted and non-contracted planned maintenance and reactive work.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
* To attend sites as directed by the service controller to carry out such technical assistance and engineering duties as are required and are within their skills / competence, ensuring a positive customer experience.
* To carry out planned preventative maintenance, repair, refurbishment, alteration or modification of plant and equipment as contracted to the company.
* To produce weekly reports, timesheets, etc, providing all necessary details to enable the Administrative Staff to collate records, prepare invoices and manage the business effectively.
* To participate in the regional duty rota system, enabling the company to provide a 24 hour call-out service to its customers and to ensure that reactive call ours are responded to within 4 hours.
* To prepare risk assessments on site, where required, to achieve compliance with health, safety and environmental duties.
* To identify opportunities to add value to the client through the provision of additional / alternative services, and to report such opportunities to his/her line manager.
* To assist in the local sales activities by submitting sales leads, to the sales team, thus making a personal sales contribution.
* To assume day-to-day control of apprentices or trainees who may be placed with him/her, and to liaise with the relevant supervisors with regard to their progress and well-being.
ABOUT YOU:
* Qualifications required: F/gas C&G 2079-11 and City and Guilds 2079 City and Guilds or NVQ 2 in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning
* PASMA MEWP qualifications are desirable but not essential.
* Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 points on licence and no cases pending)
* Enhanced DBS checks as required by the Company, the results of which must be considered satisfactory as work involves entry to schools, hospitals and other restricted establishments.
* Excellent fault diagnosis in Close Control VRV, VRF, Chillers and Splits.
* IT skills required; Microsoft package: Word & Excel, database, email etc.
* Able to work alone and as part of a team
* Minimum 5 years of working within the A/C service industry as a mobile service engineer
* Geographical knowledge of the area in which the role is operating
