Service Advisors generally work in car dealerships, where their role is to act as the go-between for customers and technicians. Service Advisors have the following tasks and duties:
* Consulting with technicians and mechanics to determine the potential cost of repairs
* Using product and service knowledge to advise customers and recommend appropriate solutions
* General customer service support regarding drop-offs and repairs
* Providing customers with relevant advice and help with warranty and trade-in options when considering repairs
* Managing and cultivating positive customer relationships
* Managing workflow and scheduling
Service Advisors need the following skills, qualities and qualifications to be successful:
* Degree or relevant qualification in mechanics or related field
* Strong understanding of automotive or relevant technology
* Able to communicate complex concepts simply
Minimum Service Advisor Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role, as a Service Admin / Service Advisor or similar
* An ability to sell additional products and services to customers
* Must have previous experience as a Service Advisor
* Kerridge / 1 link / Pinnacle systems knowledge
* 12 months Motor Trade Service Advisor experience
* Full UK Driving Licence
