Support Through Sport are seeking a highly motivated, passionate and dedicated Human Resources Manager to join our rapidly growing organisation working across disadvantaged areas of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire to provide educational workshops and mentoring to at-risk young people (8-18) within underserved communities.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Plan, organise, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the human resource department.
2. Plan human resource requirements in conjunction with other departmental Managers.
3. Ensure that Managers and staff are trained in the company policies relating to employees.
4. Ensure that Managers are applying a consistent approach in tackling issues.
5. Manage employee issues including staff wellbeing, dispute resolution, disciplinary, grievances, absence and redundancy.
6. Advise and assist other departmental managers on interpretation and administration of policies and procedures.
7. Develop HR policies and procedures to drive the right behaviours and performance and mitigate possible issues.
8. Ensure compliance with legislation such as the Employment Standards.
9. Keep yourself up to date with legislation changes and case law that affects company practice and relay to Management for consideration.
10. Continually review the company salary and benefits aimed at obtaining and retaining the right people for the business.
11. Apply recruitment policy and procedures DBS.
12. Recruit and onboard new hires, conduct performance management and provide feedback.
Qualifications and Skills
* 5+ years' experience in Human Resources.
* Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies.
* Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees.
* Strong organizational, critical thinking and communication skills.
* Positive, compassionate and trustworthy.
* Attention to detail and good judgement.
