Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Required to carry out a number of designated tasks, of which will involve direct care, in support of and under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Work as an effective member of the multi-disciplinary team.
Following appropriate training and assessment, undertake clinical and non-clinical duties in support of the registered nurse and or the Multi Disciplinary Team.
Take part in out of hours On-Call service.
Comply with all Trust policies with particular regard to the policies and procedures carried out in the event of maintaining staff and patient safety.

Training & Qualifications
Essential criteria
* GCSE English and maths grades A to D or equivalent
Desirable criteria
* NVQ / QCF 2 in Healthcare or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria
* Previous experience in dealing with customers, patients or clients within the healthcare setting.
Desirable criteria
* Previous experience working in the acute healthcare setting.
Physical skills
Essential criteria
* Able to undertake patient manual handling manoeuvres and non-patient manual handling manoeuvres.
* Physically able to perform the full range of nursing duties.
Communication and relationship skills
Essential criteria
* Ability to work flexibly and under pressure.
* Demonstration of team working and ability to work within a team
Planning and organisation skills
Essential criteria
* Punctual and reliable.
* Demonstrate an ability to prioritise own workload.
