For many fans of Formula One, the sport exists between lights and chequered flag on a Sunday afternoon. It begins and ends with the exploits of the drivers on the track. But this is merely the tip of the spear. The reality of modern F1 is that of a complex and intertwined operation, every part of which needs to perform near its limit if success is to be achieved. From the pit crew searching for the ultimate repeatable pit stop, to the inspiration of the designers, the application of engineers, and the herculean efforts of an army of fabricators and machinists. Much of our success is thanks to the diversity of thought and spectrum of skill sets held within the team; our ability to recognise unique contributions from individual team members is just a part of why we love what we do.
Job Description
As a Customs Manager, you will support the UK Customs Team’s activities across the Red Bull Technology Group (RBT Group), ensuring operational adherence and compliance for six RBT Group companies and their international supply chains.
Engage with key internal stakeholders, including Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Transport Teams, to support our objectives.

Main Responsibilities Include:
1. Provide technical customs guidance and advice to colleagues, customs agents, key partners, and suppliers on Incoterms, CPCs, Commodity Codes, Trade Agreements, customs reliefs, and valuation advice.
2. Offer effective customs solutions to ensure supply chain continuity.
3. Engage with customs agents, freight forwarders, suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to support goods movement.
4. Review CDS (MSS) data to ensure customs declarations meet KPIs, addressing errors and opportunities proactively.
5. Maintain and update the group’s customs records and discharge records for special procedures, simplifications, reliefs, and tariff preferences.
6. Regularly update the Customs and Shipping Lead on errors, anomalies, and deviations from clearance instructions and KPIs.
7. Support customs training for colleagues and raise awareness with agents, suppliers, and customers.
Qualifications:
1. Extensive customs technical knowledge, including valuation, classification, procedure codes, special procedures, reliefs, and Trade Agreements.
2. Experience providing accurate customs-related supply chain advice – previous role as a Customs Manager would be advantageous.
3. Skilled in reviewing and interpreting customs information to provide workable solutions, with a proven track record in maintaining efficient and compliant customs records.
4. Attention to detail and strong numeracy skills.
5. Enjoys challenges, seeks opportunities, and makes informed decisions.
6. Practical experience and current knowledge of UK, EU, and HMRC procedures for imports, exports, and shipping considerations.
What You Can Expect to Receive in Return:

A good salary is just the start; there are many other benefits too, such as our bonus scheme, private health care cover, life assurance scheme, workplace nursery, company-contributed pension scheme, on-site gym & fitness classes, daily food allowance, and a cycle to work scheme. Above all, the job satisfaction doesn’t get any better than the feeling of making a real contribution to the function of our Grand Prix cars.
