The role of an Unqualified Teacher is ideal for people who are thinking about teacher training in the future. We are keen to find dynamic, committed and hard-working individuals regardless of their current level of experience.
You will be expected to provide cover for absent teaching staff and the facilitation of learning by Key Stage 3 and 4 students in the absence of their teacher. As part of the role, you may also have responsibility for a tutor group.
What are looking for:
Ideally some experience of working with children. This could be in a variety of contexts: sports coaching, camp counselling, private tutoring etc.
Ideally you will have an undergraduate degree in a specific subject (e.g. Chemistry, Physical Education, Geography etc) however, this is not essential for the role.
A calm temperament, excellent communication skills and a high level of personal organisation.
Must be able to work professionally under pressure to meet deadlines, and operate flexibly to ensure maximum progress and outcomes for learners.
