Job Purpose: Investment Management Administrators are responsible for actively supporting investment managers in their daily business across wide-ranging administrative and organisational functions. Providing an accurate and efficient service helps maintain a strong relationship between the investment manager and the client. Key Responsibilities: Deal with administration for the team and identify ways of improving efficiency. Assist in all aspects of opening and maintaining client accounts, including obtaining AML documentation. Keep client information up to date and assist in the production of client suitability reports. This may involve communicating directly with clients and intermediaries such as solicitors and accountants. Follow the progress of new investments and address any issues that arise. Liaise with the accounts department over cash movements and administer payments. Set up, close, and manage client files, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date. Ensure compliance regulations are adhered to. Follow up on potential new client connections and ensure necessary forms are completed and processed. Manage occasional special projects, such as the collection of Know Your Client (KYC) information. Qualifications & Experience: Educated to GCSE or equivalent level, including Maths and English. A levels are preferable. An industry-recognised qualification such as an Investment Operations Certificate is advantageous but not essential. Experience in a similar environment is preferable, along with a general understanding of the stock market and investment operations. Knowledge & Skills: Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Highly organised and numerate. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. High degree of initiative in problem-solving and identifying tasks that need to be completed. Strong team player with the flexibility to adapt to different working styles. Enthusiastic, 'can-do’ attitude, combined with a personable manner and good sense of humour. Good IT skills, with knowledge of Excel and Word.
