Infoserve is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Website Designer to be part of our client-facing team working with a variety of business types throughout the country.
Working in an interesting and varied environment, you will manage website and branding projects, with a particular focus on website design and development, including ecommerce sites, built on a multitude of platforms. Experience with designing and building websites in WordPress is essential.
You will explore and interpret client requirements, working alongside our creative and technical teams to devise solutions which achieve wider objectives. Key activities will include project management, website design, and development.
With a clear understanding of the digital marketing industry, you will strive for excellent results whilst also maintaining and developing efficient processes that ensure profitability and quality results for our clients.
Infoserve’s Head Office is in Leeds, West Yorkshire, but our clients are based throughout the UK. We are looking to recruit a candidate on a hybrid basis, whereby 2 days a week in the office will be required.
About The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Infoserve team which helps clients to prosper by delivering exceptional website, ecommerce, and digital projects. You’ll work with clients across a wide spectrum of industries, including doctors and dentists, architects, tradespeople, food and drink, retail, hospitality, professional services, and energy.
You will have a background managing website design and development projects and a proven track record in overseeing work from concept to completion. As a Website Designer, you’ll be a main point of contact for many clients and responsible for the management and delivery of projects to the required standards, on time and on budget.
You will apply your skills in a challenging and fast-paced environment, coordinating and managing freelancers, colleagues, and projects simultaneously.
You will also seek to identify appropriate opportunities for the Infoserve team to provide additional services to clients, helping to grow the value of each account.
You’ll also contribute, where appropriate, to internal process improvement and client communications management.
Responsibilities
You will:
* Manage website design/development and ecommerce projects from initiation through to launch, and beyond.
* Schedule workloads to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload appropriately to meet delivery expectations.
* Ensure that jobs remain on budget, that clients are satisfied, and that deadlines are met.
* Check work for quality throughout each project to ensure consistent high standards.
* Research and prepare planning documents for client projects.
* Provide clear briefs and guidance to designers, developers, content creators, and other suppliers.
* Manage content and data entry, including updating internally used systems.
* Communicate regularly with clients – including meetings - to discuss current and potential work.
* Build professional, trusting relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
* Identify opportunities for Infoserve to provide further value to existing and new clients.
* Handle and assist with scoping, time/cost estimation, and quoting for new projects.
* Monitor our support ticket system, as required, responding to requests and/or assigning to team members.
* Contribute to ongoing service improvements and internal process refinement.
Candidate Profile
* Experienced website designer and developer capable of building websites on WordPress.
* Light web-development skills may be required.
* Experience of project management, specifically on website, ecommerce, and digital projects.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly.
* A flexible and adaptable outlook, with a high level of attention to detail.
* Ability to quickly build rapport with clients and maintain strong long-term relationships.
* Ability to work well in an environment which can be fast-paced and time-pressured.
* A commercial focus with the ability to monitor and maintain profitability on all jobs.
* An inquisitive mind, with creative and solution-focused thinking and an ability to devise, review, and select from alternative options.
* Self-directed approach to learning and commitment to keeping up with industry trends and technologies.
* Ability to communicate complex technical subjects in an easy-to-understand format.
* A good understanding of topics relating to website design and development including UX/UI, usability, accessibility, and responsive design.
* Basic knowledge of WordPress and WooCommerce.
* General knowledge of websites development approaches.
* Experience setting up and using analytics tools to gain insight which can be used to make recommendations to clients.
