Electrical Distribution System Contract Engineering Lead
EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a subsidiary of Edvance, a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, established in 2018, responsible for the design and realization of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide.
EDF EPR-E UK is tasked with the design and construction of the nuclear island for the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and preparing engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project.
We are looking to recruit an Electrical Distribution System Contract Engineering Lead to support the development of the electrical discipline within EPR-E.
Main Responsibilities
1. Be the entry point for the client organization concerning all topics linked to the low voltage switchboard contract and provide support for technical issue resolution.
2. Ensure the technical management of the supplier and support the Client in its contractual relationship with the supplier during the contract execution phase.
3. Support the review of supplier documents according to technical referential in a timely manner and coordinate documentation reviews.
4. Coordinate the work of a technical lead, system engineer, and dedicated experts to ensure timely handling of documents/topics.
5. Produce and coordinate comment sheets to be sent to the supplier and organize clarifications when needed.
6. Manage modifications on contracts and inform suppliers via Contract Transfer Sheets (CTS).
7. Be the entry point for all modifications and impact assessments for the scope of the contract managed.
8. Manage the risks, opportunities, open points, and modifications of the contract with the Client.
9. Manage interfaces with all Edvance disciplines providing input data relevant for the low voltage switchboard contract.
10. Follow up on all Delivery To Site dates for the equipment.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
1. Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
2. Experience in electrical distribution components and technical documentation review.
3. Ability to manage workload to produce high-quality documents and meet deadlines.
4. Good interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in English, both written and orally.
6. Proactive in communication, particularly with remote offices including France.
7. Continuously seeking opportunities to improve the quality of engineering studies and documentation.
Desirable:
1. Relevant experience in the nuclear industry.
2. Knowledge of EPR electrical distribution design principles and Safety Classification.
3. Knowledge of RCC-E electrical technical regulations.
4. Experience of working on an operating plant or industrial site.
