A highly reputable Multi Academy Trust is seeking an exceptional Head of Religious Education to join the permanent staff of a large, thriving secondary school located in March, Cambridgeshire. The Role:
The Head of RE will be responsible for shaping and delivering an engaging and rigorous RE curriculum, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all key stages. The successful candidate will lead a team of dedicated staff, fostering a positive learning environment that supports student achievement and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement an inspiring RE curriculum in line with national standards and school policies.
* Lead and manage a team of RE teachers, promoting best practices in teaching and assessment.
* Monitor student progress, implementing interventions where necessary to ensure success.
* Work collaboratively with senior leadership to uphold the school's values and ethos.
* Promote the importance of Religious Education within the wider school community.
* Organise extra-curricular opportunities, trips, and events to enrich students’ learning experiences.
Person Specification:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related subject.
* Proven experience teaching RE across key stages, with a track record of strong student outcomes.
* Leadership experience within a school setting (e.g., subject lead, second in department, or similar).
* A passion for Religious Education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and reflective learning environment.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire both students and colleagues.
* A dedication to professional development and a commitment to the school's vision and values.
