PeoplePlus’s Engagement and Resettlement Workers will support children at HMYOI Werrington to assess learning levels, identify ambitions and develop a learning plan. E and R Workers will have a caseload of learners to engage with from induction to transition or release. This child first approach will support learners to create aspirational career plans and offer ongoing guidance and support. E and R Workers will engage with a wide range of stakeholders, develop community links and liaise with other establishments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Offer induction to each new child
* Conduct agreed assessments and acquire learning history
* Agree and create a learning plan with each learner
* Engage with caseload to maintain engagement with their learning plan
* Update learning plan following changes in circumstance
* Identify career opportunities where appropriate including RoTL opportunities
* Broker employment opportunities
* Attend a range of stakeholder meetings
* Ensure all children have a clear plan and are supported through transition or release
