Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis working on the Eastern Green Link 2 project in Peterhead. EGL2 will unlock the rich renewable energy capacity of Scotland and significantly increase the UK’s capacity to deliver clean energy for around two million homes in the UK. Your expertise will be key to the success of this venture, and they are eager to welcome an experienced professional to their team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee commercial management, cost control, and budgeting.
Provide financial reports and procurement strategies.
Conduct cost analysis and identify efficiencies.
Administer contracts and manage subcontractor relationships.
Offer advice on contractual issues, manage disputes, and mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
A degree in Quantity Surveying.
Relevant experience in the civil engineering or power sector.
Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement.
Analytical, negotiation, and collaborative working skills.
Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB) is a plus.
