Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook, Cleaner & Admin Assistant to join our team. This can be a single job or up to 3 separate jobs. The ideal candidate/s will play a crucial role in providing nutritious and well balanced home cooked meals for young children and babies and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facilities, plus supporting the Manager and Nursery Staff with administrative tasks in the office. This position/s requires a proactive individual who takes pride in their work, is committed to high standards and works well both independently and in a team. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure.

Cook
The role of the Cook is to prepare and serve healthy balanced meals to the children and babies in our nursery. You will be in charge of the kitchen, ensuring it is kept clean, regulations are followed, with all paperwork being completed as required and ensuring there is sufficient stock of food and consumables. You will also be required to ensure that the menus are appropriate and up to date, including any adjustments for allergies or preferences.
Key duties
Creating appropriate, exciting and well-balanced menus for the children
Preparing and serving meals for them
Ensuring all special dietary needs are followed
Familiarising yourself with any allergens
Preparing food to a high standard
Maintaining relevant records and controlling stock rotation
Ensuring the kitchen is always clean and hygienic
Completing weekly online food shops
Setting a professional example with all working methods, procedures, personal presentation, timekeeping and hygiene
Maintaining health and safety at work practices at all times
Cleaner
The Role of the cleaner is to be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the setting, ensuring that all areas are tidy, safe, and welcoming for children and staff. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality service, and the ability to communicate effectively with others.
Key duties
Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
Clean and sanitise playrooms, kitchen, toilets and communal areas.
Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed.
Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained in good condition.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
Follow established health and safety protocols while performing cleaning duties.
Communicate effectively with the nursery staff and Management to ensure good team work.
Admin Assistant
The role of the Admin Assistant is to support the Manager and Nursery Staff with administrative tasks like newsletters, checklists, posters, filing, laminating, printing etc.
Key Duties
Print off checklists, worksheets and other resources as and when required by the nursery staff.
Print and laminate signs for the children.
Make up prospectus's, write newsletters and other similar tasks as and when needed by the Manager.
File and archive items as required.
Keep the office tidy and well organised.
Other administrative tasks as required.
