Maintenance Manager
Based at Rolls-Royce, Raynesway, Derby.
Hours 40 (Monday to Friday)
Objectives
1. Primarily responsible for assisting Contract management to ensure that JLL operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, managing the supervisory team.
2. Implementing the integrated business management system; ensuring a robust and efficient system is maintained, which complies with the requirements of the business and third-party quality, health, safety and environmental accreditations.
3. Identifying and minimising the risk of accidents to persons, property or the environment.
4. Work with the QHSE team to develop key business improvements across both businesses.
5. Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
6. Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
7. Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and/or via the MPM Learning & Development.
Main Duties
1. Identify & implement strategies to reduce risk for JLL companies and our clients.
2. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of legislation and codes of practice applicable to the company's business.
3. Ensure Supervisors and personnel have the appropriate technical competence to work safely by the identification and provision of formal training needs.
4. Assist Contract Manager and Supervisors with the identification and development of practical and effective safe working practices.
5. Ensure Robust Management of the Engineering Team.
6. Ensure operatives of the company are aware of their legal and company responsibilities.
7. Carry out assessments that are outside the competence of Operational Team i.e., Significant Risk, COSHH, DSE and other assessments.
8. Investigation of accidents and incidents and production of statistical information in relation to QHSE performance.
9. Provide assurance through audit.
10. Contribute where identified with the collation of MI.
11. Support the QHSE team in claims management and track progress on claims.
12. Assist in contract mobilisations to ensure all QHSE matters have been appropriately considered and controlled.
13. Work with the QHSE manager to develop and implement QHSE strategies to meet divisional and group objectives.
What we are looking for
1. Excellent understanding of CDM Regulations.
2. Computer literate (Word, XL Spreadsheets).
3. Able to work unsupervised and on own initiative.
4. NEBOSH Certificate/equivalent or above.
5. Environmental Management Knowledge.
6. Grad IOSH working towards CMIOSH.
7. Full UK driving licence.
8. Experience of multi-site, multi-discipline organisations.
9. Detailed knowledge of risk assessment and management.
10. Work in a commercial, client-facing environment.
11. Ability to manage meetings.
12. Able to deliver training on a range of subjects to varying abilities.
13. Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
14. Able to work as part of a team.
15. Diplomatic and personable.
16. Good management skills.
17. Flexible approach to work patterns.
18. Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
