We are looking for two full-time Finance Officers for our Accounts Receivable team based at Tribune House, York.
As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for the raising of invoices and the coding and posting of cash receipts for the Trust, to ensure that the Trust receives and correctly accounts for all its income. You will provide assistance and advice to other staff and senior managers, financial and non-financial, throughout the Trust.
Main duties of the job
* Process invoices and receipts, and credit control, ensuring work is completed accurately and in accordance with organisational policies and procedures, timetables, and Standing Financial Instructions.
* Provide advice and assistance to customers and staff regarding queries on receipts or invoices raised.
* Provide advice to staff and patients regarding charges for private, amenity, and overseas patients.
* The maintenance of the private patient database and other sundry income records.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE Mathematics (Grade A-C) or equivalent experience.
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience.
Experience
* Numeracy.
* Able to communicate clearly and effectively on complex matters.
* Accuracy.
* Experience of working in the NHS.
* Experience of working in a large accounting department.
* Accounts receivable experience.
