About the Role As a Maintenance Operative, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our accommodation facilities are well-maintained, safe, and meet the highest standards for those who rely on them. From day-to-day repairs to planned maintenance tasks, your work will have a direct impact on the lives of our service users. You’ll be responsible for: Completing reactive, proactive, and pre-planned maintenance tasks as assigned by your manager. Ensuring all work meets Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and quality expectations. Managing health & safety for yourself, your colleagues, and property users throughout all work activities. Sourcing materials through approved Serco suppliers using a company purchasing card. Maintaining your company-provided vehicle in a clean, professional condition. Working Pattern & Flexibility Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day scheduled between 08:00 and 18:00, depending on operational needs. On-call rota: You’ll be part of an out-of-hours emergency response rota, providing vital cover. This includes a standby fee and time and a half pay for any call-outs. What You'll Need to Succeed We’re looking for a hands-on, motivated individual with experience in one or more of the following areas: Joinery Plumbing Fitting Painting & Decorating General building maintenance You’ll also need: The ability to work independently and manage your workload. A flexible and team-oriented attitude. A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region (and occasionally the UK). Eligibility for security clearance (all offers of employment are subject to clearance).
