Are you our next Regional Maintenance Operative? Here’s more about the role: As a Regional Maintenance Operative working within the Care Asset Team, the role is to provide support to the existing team that works within the care homes located in the East. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and staff, as well as maintaining the overall presentation of the homes and gardens. Regular health and safety checks are essential to create a safe environment for everyone. This may include fire alarm, water flushing, and bed safety checks, among others. Effective communication is vital in your role. You will regularly engage with residents, their families, and colleagues as part of your daily activities. Additionally, you will liaise with contractors, coordinate their services, and ensure that work is completed to a high standard. As this is a regional role, visits to other homes may be necessary to provide cover or as part of planned maintenance activities. What skills do I need? Collaboration is key A cohesive team fosters a positive environment for residents and contributes to a thriving home. Practical skills in recognizing and performing minor repairs are important, such as basic plumbing skills and DIY experience. The ideal candidate should possess fundamental knowledge of health and safety protocols. Familiarity with Legionella disease is also beneficial. Having a valid driver's license and access to personal transportation are necessary requirements. The role will include use of an iPad and or Laptop along with compliance applications that you will use daily.
