Do you enjoy playing dungeons and Dragons? Watching Monty python or playing laser tag? My very chatty and funny 16 year old son is looking for a buddy to support him to attend a dungeons and dragons session once a week. He is also hoping that he can find a buddy to help him navigate activities like, swimming, drama club and laser tag. My son loves to escape into the world of Dungeons and Dragons and watching old TV shows like Monty Python and Father Ted, if you find yourself chuckling to the humour in these types of TV shows then you will definitely ‘get my sons humour’. He also has a passion for Japanese TV and cartoons and I would even say he is a bit of an expert on all things Japanese! Your help is needed so that my son can gain skills and confidence with social interactions and communication when accessing these type of activities. My son is very laid-back and not at all rigid about life except the timings for the things he loves and which are important to him (like Dungeons and Dragons). My son's disability means he mainly needs support in the area of social communication. Because he struggles with social communication doing things on his own is a real challenge. Having a buddy/support worker to help him could really make a big difference to my sons life.
