Due to sustained growth, they are seeking a Consultant Arboriculturist to join their team in Dorking. Key Responsibilities As a Consultant Arboriculturist, you will manage and contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects. Your work will include: Conducting tree surveys and producing technical reports in line with BS 5837:2012 standards. Preparing Arboricultural Impact Assessments, Arboricultural Method Statements, and Tree Protection Plans. Assessing tree health, conducting hazard evaluations, and performing risk surveys. Supervising on-site tree protection measures during construction activities. Providing expert arboricultural advice to clients, supported by data collection and analysis. Mentoring junior staff and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects successfully.Required Skills and Experience To excel in this role as an Arboriculturalist, you should possess: A Level 3 or higher qualification in arboriculture, forestry, or a related environmental discipline. Demonstrable consultancy experience, including tree surveys, technical reporting, and client liaison. In-depth knowledge of BS 5837:2012 and other relevant standards. Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, or related software (training can be provided if necessary). Strong report writing and analytical skills. A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.Desirable Attributes Membership in a professional body such as the Arboricultural Association or the Royal Forestry Society.
