A well-established food company based in the Barnsley area is looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the business for a days-based role.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
1. Attending to reactive maintenance problems and repairing breakdowns in a safe, permanent and controlled manner.
2. Ensuring machinery and services are maintained to meet individual department requirements, utilizing the most appropriate maintenance regime.
3. Assisting production as an engineer by timely attending to any issues which occur during the running of the equipment.
4. Ability to read both mechanical and electrical drawings.

We would love to see your CV if you are a Maintenance Engineer with the following:
1. Qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering).
2. A proven track record in an engineering and fault-finding role gained from a FMCG environment (ideally the food industry).
3. A good understanding of HACCP principles and ideally IEE qualification (17th or 18th edition wiring regulations).
4. Excellent analytical, planning & organizing skills and experience being the sole engineer on shift.
5. Awareness and understanding of key legislative and safety requirements within the engineering field.
6. Ability to work well under pressure and assertiveness when making decisions to keep things moving smoothly.
The salary is advertised up to £40k DOE. As Maintenance Engineer, you will be working a Monday to Friday days role - 7am - 3.30pm.
