EYFS Class Teacher Vacancy (to cover maternity leave)
Commencing June 2nd 2025
Full Time (5 Full Days - ECT Main Scale 1-2) or Part Time (4.5 days – Main Scale 3-6)
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity within our village school where teamwork is central? Are you passionate about shaping young minds and creating a nurturing environment for early learning? Then this could be the role for you!
Our EYFS unit currently consists of 7 reception children and 8 nursery children (aged 3+) led by a class teacher and a level 3 classroom assistant. Numbers for each may vary dependent on the take up of reception places i.e. if these are lower than the PAN (20 reception children) we may then increase the number of nursery children.
We are also investigating pre-3 year old provision for September 2025, which may be something you could be involved with.
We are looking for an individual who is able to inspire, support and motivate children; focusing on high-quality and inclusive learning and teaching to stretch and challenge all our learners to reach their potential. We wish to appoint a reflective practitioner who is committed to working in partnership with parents and the whole school community and someone who has a love of the outdoors!
We strive to intrinsically embed the British Values and our Personal Development curriculum; including our school values (Respect, responsibility, independence, ambition, honesty and confidence) to ensure that pupils acquire skills and knowledge for future learning and life in modern Britain.
We are an associate member of the Creative Learning Partnership Trust and at Moor First, you will be able to develop your own skills with access to excellent CPD rooted in research and development.
Applications are invited from all teachers who would love the challenge to work in a forward-thinking and dynamic school. Experience of the EYFS curriculum is essential and it is advantageous if you have experience of the Little Wandle systematic phonics programme (although training can be provided).
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
If you would like to discuss this position please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Atherton, Headteacher at Moor First School on 01782 512350.
Visits to the school are strongly encouraged - either within or outside the school day but we love for you to see our children in action – please ring to arrange an appointment.
All candidates are required to provide a supporting statement on the formal application form which states clearly your reasons for applying, skills and experience for this position.
All completed application forms should be returned to the school – hard copy and/or e-mailed copy acceptable.
