Our client’s new college is a Social, Emotional, Mental Health Independent School, catering for students from 11-19 years of age. They brand therapy to be the heart of the school and believe working collaboratively is in the heart of the school.
Their well-qualified, experienced and passionate team work together to promote the school as a community, ensuring their students success both within the school and beyond. They offer a rich and varied curriculum that they are able to tailor to individual students’ needs and interests offering a range of both academic and vocational elements. Timetables are tailored to each individual to ensure they have the best opportunities available to them to make good progress and fulfil their potential. Our client continually monitors and improves their offer, embracing opportunities to further build and expand on the learning experiences of their students.
Our clients’ specialist independent schools offer unrivalled opportunities, securing sound educational outcomes with personalised, inclusive, and stimulating programmes of learning. They provide education and support to children and young people who have complex special educational needs and require their SEN provision to be delivered in a specialist setting.
The successful applicants will need:
* Experience working as an Assistant Head Teacher ideally in a similar environment
* Be an Ofsted expert, maintain and build your understanding of requirements, helping the school move towards an outstanding rating
* Ability to motivate, drive and support staff and pupils, using a person-centred approach
* A real 'can do, will do' attitude, with the desire to succeed and improve our school
* Have a commitment and passion to work with pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, along with a range of other difficulties including trauma, attachment and associated challenging behaviours
* Have a clear vision, strong leadership, and effective management skills
* An exceptionally enthusiastic and committed leader to manage and motivate pupils and staff, and can lead, motivate, and inspire teams to raise standards in student outcomes
* Is familiar with the need for creativity in delivering the National Curriculum, whilst supporting pupils to overcome their barriers to learning
* Have a solid understanding of the new Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and Independent School Standards
