To be successful as a Mainframe Developer you should have:
* Extensive experience and knowledge of the major tools in a toolkit for the specific application product – IBM Zseries Mainframe, COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM as well as knowledge of CAMS II and Hogan is vital to this role.
* Have proven delivery skills, demonstrating an ability to deliver to time, cost and quality parameters with proactive management of risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
* Experienced with all major development and delivery phases and activities.
* Extensive with design/building/testing of complex applications in mainframe technology and particularly in CAMS & HOGAN application.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
* Functional knowledge in Payment & Cards industry
* Has participated in the full spectrum of delivery activities on multiple development projects
* Exposure to E2E design will be an added advantage
* Experience in IMS will be an added advantage

* Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
* Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
* Collaboration with peers, participation in code reviews, and promotion of a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
* Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
* Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
* Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
