The role: The Co-ordination and preparation of reporting performance vs allowances whilst producing actual and forecast performance reporting, which is insightful, actionable and drives the business forward, including P&L, Investment, Revenue. Responsibilities: • Deliver the end-to-end Management Reporting processes, including the preparation of highly quality, timely reporting for the Executive Board and other internal and external stakeholders. FP&A responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes, and other internal and external management reporting. • Performance Reporting vs allowances • Routinely and proactively request, use and present financial and performance analysis and insights, to help the leadership team build a comprehensive understanding of business performance and a clear view of progress against improvement initiatives, incentives and regulatory/entity targets. • Manage and co-ordinate processes by setting accurate timetables, key performance metrics and guidance to ensure delivery to agreed timescales and stakeholder requirements. • Proactively build own knowledge of our regulatory agreement and its impact on the industry and the business to support key decisions and advise and guide own business area. • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through best practice. • Provide ad hoc analysis as and when required. Requirements: • Excellent oral and written communications skills. The ability to summarise complex transactions, weighing up all the relevant factors, such as how transactions impact other areas of the business to senior management and in formal board papers. • Excellent Excel skills. • Experience of leading planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes. • Working knowledge of balance sheet and cash flow forecasting. • Good commercial understanding and experience. • Excellent understanding of the regulatory allowance process • Strategic finance leader with the credibility and strength to influence and shape decisions. • Resilient, hard-working, and determined to drive through change. • Down to earth, hands-on pragmatic. • Focused on the detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to build relationships across the business and influence stakeholders.
