As an Account Manager, you are a professional who provides the single point of contact between the various departments within GovData. It is your role to coordinate the services delivered to your clients, with sole responsibility for the success that clients achieve through your use of these internal resources to support the client to win contracts across the public sector. You will facilitate expert advice and guidance to companies seeking to expand their business, co-ordinate our support agreement with them, ensure our SLA and KPI is met for each client and provide them and your own internal managers with a monthly report to evidence the same and discuss any emerging needs or opportunities to better support the client. Your aim is to improve their market position, to explore new opportunities within the public sector and beat their competitors. You will provide desk-based support to clients whom GovData have successfully awarded onto a framework. Monthly reports are created and presented to the client with new opportunities for them to grow their business. A range of additional consulting services are commoditised and packaged to support those goals. You will identify when it is appropriate and needed for the client to access those extra skills and knowledge. You will also write GO/NO GO bid decisions on whether to support the client to pursue an opportunity through to a win, with GovData receiving win fees for the contracts the client succeeds. Your day-to-day duties as a Account Manager will include: · Collaborate with clients to understand their goals, challenges, and objectives, and develop customised strategies to achieve them. · Agree and gain stakeholder signoff for SLA with KPIs, both with client and internally · Be the client’s 1stpoint of contact and become their expert in the public sector. · Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify target markets. · Assist in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to drive client revenue growth. · Provide ongoing desk-based support to clients, for 12 months after framework award. · Identify and document information relating to the client’s business and products. · Monitor and track the progress of business development initiatives, providing regular updates and performance reports to clients. · Work with internal departments to produce new material for clients. · Upsell new products and frameworks. · Complete regular account reviews to understand the client’s business. · Keep up to date with industry changes and internal processes. · Produce internal reports to present to Management on a weekly basis. As a Account Manager you will have: · Excellent communication skills · Minimum 2 years account management / business management experience · Sound commercial skills and sales ability · Ability to think strategically, analyse market data, and identify growth opportunities · Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets · Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team · Proficiency in using CRM software to manage leads and track performance · Strong understanding of market dynamics, sales strategies, and business development techniques · Excellent analytical skills to assess business opportunities and financial viability · Proficient in Microsoft office Suite · Excellent Time Management skills · Professional certifications in business development or related fields are a plus.
