Tata Steel is looking for a Commercial Demand Planner to lead the way in forecasting, planning, and reporting for our commercial operations. If you’re ready to bring your analytical skills to a global leader, this role is your opportunity.
Shape the Future of Planning and Performance
As a Commercial Demand Planner, you’ll take charge of creating and managing both short- and long-term plans for your sector. You’ll use historical data, market intelligence, and sales projections to produce forecasts that inform business decisions and drive results.
You’ll be at the centre of collaboration, working closely with account teams, sales directors, and supply chain specialists to ensure plans are clear, achievable, and aligned with our strategic goals.
This includes:
Developing accurate forecasts using advanced tools like Anaplan and Power BI.
Managing and communicating the latest view, both internally and externally, to ensure customer expectations are met.
Producing and presenting key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leaders.
Leveraging data analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
This is a high-impact role where your expertise will directly influence customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and business growth.
What you’ll need to succeed
We’re looking for a driven, analytical professional with strong commercial acumen.
Essential Requirements:
A degree in business or a commercial discipline (or equivalent experience).
Robust knowledge of market sector dynamics and supply chain processes.
Exceptional numerical and analytical skills, with proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other data visualisation software.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
Experience creating and interpreting forecasts, managing delivery and booking plans, and developing operational tools.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of Tata Steel’s manufacturing processes and systems.
