Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager of our care home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in care, with experience in Care homes in a management role. This role requires effective leadership skills, particularly in dementia care, and the ability to manage a team of care staff while ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents.
Duties
1. Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
2. Provide leadership and support to care staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
3. Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of residents, particularly those with dementia.
4. Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and monitor the quality of care provided.
5. Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal staffing levels and professional development.
6. Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
7. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
8. Promote a culture of respect, dignity, and compassion within the home.
9. Deputise in the absence of the Home Manager.
Requirements
1. Previous experience in a leadership role within a care home or similar environment is essential.
2. Strong understanding of dementia care practices and regulations governing residential care settings.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff.
4. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
5. A commitment to delivering high-quality care and improving resident wellbeing.
6. Flexibility to work varied shifts as required by the operational needs of the home.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00-£26,200.00 per year
