Demolition Contracts Manager
We are currently looking for a Demolition Contracts Manager based in the Northern Home Counties area for our client who is a market-leading demolition contractor working across the UK. They have gone from strength to strength over the 30 years of being in business. Due to expansion, they are looking to take on a Contracts Manager to deal with a variety of demolition works and related packages. This company offers flagship, exciting projects to work on, a closely-knit working environment, and a clear path of progression to higher management.
The company specializes in complex demolition projects, with types of work including traditional top-down demolition, cut and carve, enabling, remediation, asbestos removal, and industrial dismantling sectors, working with a variety of established clients with a consistent pipeline of work.
The Role and Responsibilities
1. Organizing and running multiple contracts/projects at any one time and ensuring that they are taken from contract award through to site implementation and successful completion, whilst meeting NFDC standards.
2. Overall responsibility for other Demolition Site Managers and junior Project Managers under your remit.
3. Liaising with clients to prepare, plan and execute required documentation to commence the project.
4. Attending site regularly and working alongside site staff to ensure the smooth running of the contract, including governance of sub-contractors, suppliers, and the daily on-site project team.
5. Resource management for plant, transport, materials, and personnel.
6. Reviewing and monitoring on-site progress enabling delivery of contract that meets scheduling and budget requirements.
7. Using specialist knowledge to assess demolition options, ensuring best working methods are used with respect to scheduling and regulatory constraints.
8. Assessment of potential contracts and estimating for works.
9. Making recommendations and implementing any changes to ensure improvements are made and excellent service is provided to the customer.
10. Ensuring that the site is run in accordance with Company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Key Skills/Qualifications Required
1. Strong background in specialist, large scale demolition contracts.
2. CCDO Manager Card.
3. Experience with running multiple demolition contracts.
4. Ability to assist in pricing and tendering for work.
5. Good man management skills.
