An Ofsted-rated GOOD primary school in Bristol is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Phase Leader and KS2 Coordinator to join its permanent staff starting in January 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual to contribute to a thriving school environment, working with a supportive leadership team and passionate staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a key stage phase, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across the year groups.
2. Provide strategic direction and leadership in Key Stage 2 (KS2), promoting excellence and continuous improvement.
3. Support, mentor, and coach teachers within the phase, fostering professional development and collaborative working.
4. Monitor pupil progress and attainment, implementing interventions and strategies to enhance student outcomes.
5. Collaborate with senior leadership and contribute to whole-school development initiatives and policies.
6. Maintain effective communication with staff, pupils, parents, and governors.
7. Promote an inclusive and nurturing learning environment that encourages student well-being and engagement.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
2. Proven experience in leading a team or phase within a primary school setting.
3. A deep understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, with evidence of delivering excellent teaching and learning outcomes.
4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
6. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable:
1. Experience in leading curriculum development.
2. A track record of improving pupil outcomes through targeted interventions.
