We are recruiting for a SHARE Studies Administrator within our Division of Population Health and Genomics at the School of Medicine, to primarily support the SHARE Studies Coordinator.
This is a fixed-term appointment until 31 st March 2025 in the first instance (possibility of extension).
This is a dual role to provide support to the SHARE Studies Coordinator and assist with all aspects of recruitment to research projects which apply to SHARE. You will also be expected to provide administrative support to the SHARE team, helping to ensure the efficient day-to-day running. This is a rare opportunity to join an exciting initiative funded by the Chief Scientist Office at the Scottish Government and asset of NHS Research Scotland. The aim of SHARE is to build a volunteer register of up to 1 million residents in Scotland (currently over 305,000) who have expressed an interest in being contacted about health research.
Based in Ninewells Hospital, one of Europe's largest teaching hospitals, the School of Medicine provides outstanding medical education and training supported by world class research facilities.
Your priorities will include:
* Recruit to research studies by contacting existing SHARE participants as required
* Act as point of contact for project and close liaison with researchers to offer application assistance
* Provide general administrative support to the Studies Coordinator and wider SHARE team
* Support for social media activity and website maintenance
* Attendance at public events / meetings to promote SHARE
Who we're looking for:
* Highly motivated with excellent communication, organisational, admin and interpersonal skills
* Excellent time managements skills, able to prioritise and multitask in busy office, using own initiative
* Display a positive and enthusiastic demeanour, personal qualities of flexibility and reliability
* Exercise high levels of discretion and confidentiality
* Educated to Degree level in Life Sciences or health related subject or equivalent work experience
