ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to the company continuing to win work, there is a need for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the Commercial Director, within the infrastructure sector of the company.
You will be responsible for managing costs to make as much profit as possible for the company on the projects you will be working on and ensuring delivery of payment whilst developing client relationships. You will be managing multiple sub-contractors on multiple different packages; as well as dealing with the main contractor daily, the projects will be on average around £5M/£6M. The types of works you will be working on will be groundworks, kerbing, concrete works, drainage packages, and piling. You will be working with fibre reinforced concrete, overbridges and structures on an HS2 project.
You will be working on several projects at once, one being HS2, Old Oak Common which is a prestigious project. They have 26 months left on this project but they believe they’ll win several more phases as the project continues.
REQUIREMENTS
It is essential you have experience working for a tier 2 civil engineering contractor, whilst holding strong stability on your CV. On top of this, I need someone who is capable of managing a full cycle of a project from pre-construction through to completion, with limited support. It is also essential your degree is qualified in Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management. You will need to have experience with NEC contracts.
