A fantastic opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and dynamic Staff Nurses to join our expanding ambulatory integrated clinic service. We have sites citywide providing care to ambulatory patients in clinic settings with referrals from primary care and LCH neighbourhood teams. When you join us, we will collaborate with you to develop your own personal development plan. You will have excellent communication skills and maintain a high standard of clinical work when conducting nursing procedures. You will be resilient, motivated, and adaptable to working in an ever-changing environment and of course, a passion for providing the best possible care.
You will ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, you will motivate colleagues, champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement. The service runs Monday to Friday, we are looking for full-time and part-time staff (minimum of 3 days a week). We can offer flexible working on days worked if part-time and shifts available are 8-4 or 10-6pm (location dependent). You will be asked to cover more than one clinic location weekly and you will be required to provide annual leave and sickness cover at other locations around the city for service needs.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be providing clinical treatment in a clinic setting working solo but will have access to senior clinicians for advice.
You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of:
* Managing complex wounds, Line Care, Catheter Care, Wound Care, Injections, suture removal
* Completing clinical training needs and development, such as caseload reviews and in-service training.
* Managing your clinic diary which will involve clinical decision making.
* Providing clinical support and advice to administration, as well as patients/relatives/carers.
You will work alongside District Nurses, Community Matrons, Occupational and Physiotherapists, Neighbourhood Clinical Assistants, Therapy Assistants, and Self-Management Facilitators in one MDT to provide truly holistic care for our patients.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues in our Citywide Service such as the Falls, Continence, Urology and Colorectal Care, and Palliative and End of Life Care teams and GP services to co-ordinate the best care for patients.
You will ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, you will champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement.
