Hambrook School, part of Options Autism, is seeking a highly skilled SEN Maths Teacher to join our close-knit team. As an integral member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality education service for our students with autism.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Maths Teacher to contribute to the development and implementation of individualised education plans. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and teaching maths lessons to small groups or individuals, ensuring progression at an appropriate rate. Your expertise will also be valuable in coordinating the teaching, assessment, and recording of maths subjects across key stages.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students
* Collaborate with colleagues to implement developments related to the school's development plan
* Contribute to the development and implementation of individual behaviour plans and other relevant plans
* Ensure the safety of students while on and off site, in line with risk assessments
Requirements
* QTS qualification
* Experience in teaching maths to students with autism or similar needs
* Strong knowledge of maths curriculum frameworks and related policies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
