We are looking to offer a Fleet Fitter the opportunity to join our expanding Northern Operations team based in Castleford. About The Team With 8 depots across the UK, M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions provide innovative plant and fleet asset management solutions across M Group Services. We provide our business with more than 9,000 vehicles and over 25,000 owned or externally hired plant assets. Our team has grown rapidly and we are responsible for the supply and management of specialist equipment and vehicles, supplying the Water, Energy, Transport, Data and Telecommunication sector. About The Role We’re looking for people who are self-motivated, flexible, effective communicators who pride themselves in working to high-standards to provide high-levels of customer service. You will hold a recognised apprenticeship or relevant qualifications in engineering either working with LCV’s, HGV’s or Plant equipment are preferred. Ideally you will be experienced in LCV, Construction plant, material handling or ancillary equipment. You will be conversant with a range of disciplines along with strong diagnostic and electrical systems capabilities. However, we can provide training for any areas you are looking to develop in. We want to support our people as much as possible, therefore if you require a more flexible working arrangement, we would be happy to discuss this with you As the Fleet Fitter, you’ll get the opportunity to: Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to fleet Fault diagnose and rectify all types of mechanical faults found Ensure Health & Safety and good working practices within the workshop are followed Completion of work is via a PDA device to ensure electronic work records Carry out minor and major repairs as directed Identification and capture of damaged fleet at the depot Day-to-day communication across plant office, yard and workshop functions Ensure that all M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions `Safely, Healthy, Environmental & Quality`(SHEQ) policies and procedures are adhered to, adopting a safe method of working at all times What you’ll bring?
