Interim Finance Officer Morgan Hunt are working with a Housing Association based in Eastleigh who are looking at recruiting an Interim Finance Officer. This is a 3-month contract role paying up to £18.10 umbrella p/hour. This role will be hybrid. Key Responsibilities of the Interim Finance Officer: Maintain and update the Group Purchase Ledger, ensuring accurate and timely registration of all purchase invoices. Ensure proper invoice matching to authorised purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to resolve discrepancies. Oversee supplier payments, ensuring compliance with HMRC VAT and Construction Industry Scheme regulations. Maintain supplier data securely and process supplier account setups and updates while mitigating risks of fraud. Manage finance system interfaces, ensuring transaction data is accurate and available for non-finance teams. Monitor incoming emails, prioritising urgent communications related to legal actions or service restrictions. Proactively work to reduce creditor payment times and improve overall finance team performance. Previous Skills and Experience of the Interim Finance Officer: Demonstrable experience in a finance department, particularly in a high-volume transaction environment. Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word. Working knowledge of VAT regulations. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to adhere strictly to financial controls, ensuring security against fraud and risk.
