We have a fantastic opportunity to join us as Sales & Banking Supervisor at Holland & Barrett. The purpose of this role is to safeguard company cash by completing regular sales reconciliations, escalating issues and through continuous review introducing new controls where required. Build and maintain relationships with Field Management, Internal Audit and Central Operations to ensure all reporting and reviews are effectively being utilised.
The Role
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading a high-performance team; setting clear expectations, coaching, training, developing, disciplining but most importantly holding them accountable whilst motivating, engaging and advocating their success
* Daily reconciliations for sales to cash are completed for all companies within the group and any discrepancies are enacted upon in a timely manner and highlighted to relevant management maintaining business relationships
* Provide a continuous assessment that all processes are the most efficient and continue to be reviewed with the evolution of time and technological process
* Ensure recommendations for improvements are continually considered and recommendations made to line management for approval
* Actively taking part with the month end process and posting journals
* Support and cover for other team members to ensure no backlogs occur
* Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and provide aged analysis
* Ensure Service Level Agreement timescales and KPI monitoring are reached
Location:
This role is based in Nuneaton, and may be occasionally required to travel to our London Hub or to any other location of H&B. We support flexibility and productivity of our employees by hybrid working arrangements with minimum 2 days presence in the office.
The Person
Key Requirements:
* Ability to work calmly and effectively whilst working under pressure
* Making timely and rational decisions based on relevant information and experience whilst also hitting deadlines
* Good standard of written and oral communication skills
* Experience working within a busy Finance department
* AAT qualified or QBE
* Experience using EPR or another equivalent accounting software package
* Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
