First Derivative are currently seeking an experienced Senior KYC Analyst to join our Global Capital Markets Consultancy. The successful candidate will join a CDD remediation project for one of our clients. This role is on a contract basis (12 months) and is a hybrid role of 2 days per week in our offices either Belfast or Newry. Duties/responsibilities: Conducting comprehensive Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews for new and existing customers to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Identifying and mitigating potential risks by performing CDD (Customer Due Diligence) and EDD (Enhanced Due Diligence) on the appropriate KYC case files. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation for all KYC and CDD processes, ensuring proper audit trails and adherence to internal controls. Investigating and escalating potential red flags or suspicious activities to the appropriate teams in accordance with internal escalation protocols. Keeping up-to-date with the latest regulatory changes and industry best practices, as well as any changes to client-specific internal policies, and implementing them into daily KYC operations as required. Key Skills and Attributes: Self-starter who is proactive, and results driven. Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both colleagues and stakeholders, engaging across different levels of seniority. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to spot inconsistencies or red flags in customer documentation and transaction history. Understanding of the customer lifecycle, from onboarding to periodic reviews and offboarding, ensuring adherence to KYC standards and controls. In-depth understanding of CLM and KYC tooling including screening and transaction monitoring processes. Strong understanding of global and local regulatory requirements, including AML, FATCA, and other compliance frameworks. Relevant certifications, such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist), are desirable but not essential.
