Job Description:
Retail Design Consultant
At The Jordon Group (Powered by Bellrock), we harness technology to give our customers an experience that not only leaves them with advanced building systems but with peace of mind. We unlock that by being technology-led, but people-driven. So when you’re part of The Jordon Group (Powered by Bellrock), you’ll get everything you need to be your best at work - because our people are the heart of our business. We’re all about helping them to shine.
The role of Retail Design Consultant is critical to the Jordon Group.
Retail Design Consultants take clients from the initial ideas stage of a retail fit out, through design and selection, quotation, and then to delivery, ensuring the client is happy and the project is delivered on budget and profitably for the group.
How will you be the change?
We believe every role is essential to providing that peace of mind for our customers - whatever part of the business you’re in. Every role plays a part in driving us further. Everyone can be the change. That’s how we deliver value for our customers and build systems that lead the way.
As a Retail Design Consultant with Jordon Group, you’ll do it by:
* Becoming an expert in the retail industry relating to Petrol Forecourts, Convenience, Farm Shops, Coffee Shops, Fast Food, and other opportunities such as office refits and high street retailers.
* Developing the skills necessary to complete initial site surveys (using site audit pro).
* Understanding how to work with other specialist tradesmen (electricians, plumbers, builders, principal contractors). Communication skills are key here.
* Working effectively with internal teams and individuals at Jordon Group.
* Understanding the turnkey shop fit process including all elements we deliver (shop fronts, joinery, electrical, lighting, plumbing, shelving, counters, back of house, refrigeration, heating & cooling, ventilation). Extensive training and support will be provided.
* Being proficient in writing accurate quotes.
* Having the skills necessary to ‘sell’ effectively. To seal the deal. We will support and nurture this.
* Having the customer service & people skills necessary to nurture long-term customer relationships.
* Having project management skills required to deliver successful projects.
* Having market research skills, understanding what motivates our target clients, and key industry drivers.
* Having Health and Safety Training skills (SPA Passport, Asbestos Awareness, and others TBC).
What does it take?
If you’re ready to be the energy that helps us build our business, share our success, and really own it as a Retail Design Consultant, you’ll need:
* Either existing CAD training and certification or to undertake the training.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive/SharePoint). All training can be supported on the job.
* Familiarity with our systems such as Epix.
* Use of our in-house CRM (Customer Relationship Management) for managing client touchpoints, sales pipeline, sales conversion rate, active sales, etc.
* A full UK valid driving license.
* The role will require frequent travel and some overnight stays.
Working arrangements
In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work hybrid; depending on the needs of clients, we would expect this to be field-based three to four days a week and home office-based one to two days. Monthly meetings at Head Office in Oldham. Full-time hours are 40 per week, Monday-Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.
What can we offer you?
Upon joining The Jordon Group, you can expect a comprehensive benefits package including:
