We are looking for a passionate, friendly, enthusiastic, and charismatic Wedding and Events Coordinator to join our expanding team. Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa is located on the North West Coast in Formby, close to Southport and Liverpool. We pride ourselves on providing memorable experiences for all our guests and creating events to the very best standard. We are on the search for someone who is passionate about helping people create the perfect event, has attention to detail and able to develop strong relationships with all customers to generate sales opportunities. The ideal candidate must: · Be very well organised, enthusiastic, professional, and self-motivated. · Be well presented at all times. · Display very strong communication skills both with clients, couples, and the team. · Have at least 2 years’ experience working in weddings and events at a hospitality-based business. · Have sales experience from a previous workplace. · Be computer literate and very good administrative skills. · Be able to work weekends and bank holidays. · Have excellent time keeping skills. Roles and Responsibilities To process new wedding and event enquiries. Supporting client’s during viewings and to listen to their specific requests. Maintaining a professional attitude that is in line with the culture of the company. Having a firm knowledge of the wedding and events industry and being confident to provide information to all new clients. Working with local suppliers who work alongside the venue. Responsible for converting viewings into bookings. An eye for detail to ensure that all requests are executed. Contributing to marketing material, and new ideas for the wedding and events department. Arranging Open Days and Wedding Fairs for potential and confirmed couples to attend. Supporting the couples on their wedding day both front and back of house. Making sure final arrangements/ details are correctly recorded and passed on to the team. Supporting with corporate and party events. To create a smooth transition of communication from the planning to delivery of an event or wedding To ensure that all payments are logged and received on time. Producing accurate and detailed information for the chefs, for the senior manager to organise staff rotas, for the heads of departments to be aware of forthcoming events and for the staff to be knowledgeable of that day’s requirements e.g. the menu, schedule, etc. Hold strong working relationships with all departments, including kitchen, reception, housekeeping and maintenance.
