Job summary Decontamination Technician Advert An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated individual to work in our Central Decontamination Unit. Do you want to care for patients behind the scenes?Duties include reprocessing surgical instrumentation to be used in a clinical setting. This is a fundamental part of providing care to patients. The Unit holds ISO 13485; 2016 accreditation and as part of the Quality Management System you will be expected to work to the highest standards. Main duties of the job You should have a flexible approach to work, work well under pressure and possess excellent communication and organisational skills. Experience of working within the domain of a Central Decontamination Unit is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.You are asked to note that some of the work may be repetitive and will involve manual handling of loads. You will also be required to be on your feet for the duration of your shift. Due to the amount of training involved the candidate must be full time for the first two years. The current shift available is4pm - midnight Monday - Friday and working 1 in 5 weekends. One bank holiday shift per year also.
