Join Our Happy and Vibrant School Community!
Wolvey CofE Primary School is a diverse, caring Christian community within which the individuality and culture of each child is valued and celebrated. ‘…Among us you are all equal…’ (Galatians 3:28, MSG). Our learning journey is an inclusive experience, and the relationships between children, staff, and the wider community are integral to enabling children to thrive and enjoy their school experience.
Kindness, friendship, and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide 1:1 support for a child with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) within both the classroom and our specialised base. This role is essential in ensuring the child is fully included in school life, has access to the curriculum, and develops positive relationships with their peers.
About the Role
As an LSA at Wolvey CofE Primary School, you will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of a child with specific needs. You will:
• Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with an EHCP, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional needs are met.
• Assist the child in accessing the curriculum within the mainstream classroom, adapting resources where necessary.
• Support learning and development within our specialised base, working closely with the SENCO and external professionals.
• Promote and uphold our school’s core values of kindness and friendship, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment.
• Encourage outstanding behaviour and attitudes, supporting the child in developing confidence and independence.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and families to ensure consistency in the child’s support plan.
• Support the child’s well-being, creating a positive and safe space for learning.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and patient LSA who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs. The successful candidate will:
• Have experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with EHCPs.
• Be dedicated to providing personalised support and promoting inclusion.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff, pupils, and families.
• Be proactive, adaptable, and patient, with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for all children.
• Support and uphold the Christian ethos and values of our school.
