Reed Practice are delighted to be acting as primary agency to a local and highly reputable chartered accountancy firm located in the heart of Suffolk, to recruit an experienced Payroller.
Our client has been established for many decades but excels in moving with the times and offers expertise to an ever-expanding range of clients.
This position can either be full-time, divided into three days of payroll and two days of bookkeeping, or part-time (3 days) focusing solely on payroll duties.
Key Payroll Duties:
1. Managing approximately 60 payrolls, consisting of a combination of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly, with the vast majority being monthly.
2. Calculating SSP and SMP; most calculations will be done in Sage Payroll, with manual computations for special, ad-hoc projects.
3. Depending on your experience, advising clients on various aspects of payroll.
For those seeking full-time work, bookkeeping tasks will include:
1. Standard trial balance.
2. Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
3. Reconciliations.
4. Managing client queries.
We are looking for candidates who have provided payroll services to multiple clients, whether in practice or bureau, but will also consider those in industry who have run payroll for multiple divisions within a group.
