Come join our Transportation team as a Stakeholder and Customer Liaison Manager on the M6 Lune Gorge project, based in Penrith.
We're looking for someone to help strengthen and grow the strong relationships we've built with our client, National Highways, as well as key stakeholders and the local community impacted by the scheme. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring open communication, building trust, and supporting the successful delivery of the project.

Location: M6 Lune Gorge, Penrith - travel to the office required, remote working available
Hours: Permanent Fulltime- some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
Salary: up to £45,000 per annum + £5.9k annual car allowance + private healthcare + benefits
What will you be responsible for?
As a Stakeholder and Customer Liaison Manager, you'll lead the management of key stakeholder relationships in line with the project's stakeholder strategy. Acting as the main point of contact for all stakeholder matters on the M6 Lune Gorge project, you'll champion a customer-focused approach—promoting behaviours and decisions that prioritise the needs of our stakeholders and the wider community.
Your day to day will include:
1. Engaging effectively with external stakeholders to understand their needs, manage expectations, and provide practical solutions.
2. Responding quickly to changing situations in complex project environments, preparing responses/narrative quickly and clearly.
3. Working collaboratively with other projects to identify opportunities to improve the customer experience.
4. Identifying requirements for customer training, planning and where appropriate, delivering training to drive improvements whether internal or within the supply chain.
5. Ensuring an accurate audit trail is maintained of all stakeholder engagement, with contact/activities recorded on National Highways CRM system.
6. Contributing to the production of the contracts communications strategy to deliver engaging content that will enhance our external and internal brands and our employee engagement.

1. Experience in a similar role dealing with members of the public.
2. Demonstrated experience of creating and delivering communications and customer strategies.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to take complex information and make it easy to understand for a range of audiences and channels.
