Salary: £41,287-£45,198 per annum (TCES Salary band 401) + TLR 2b (£5,048 per annum)

Contract: Permanent, Term time + 1 week (to include Examination Results Days)
We are seeking an experienced and passionate qualified Teacher to lead the delivery of provision for the school's contingent of Post 16 students. You will develop and implement the post 16 curriculum, including enterprise and transition of post 16 pupils into employment, further training and adulthood, meeting the specific needs of each individual pupil. The role also assists in the development of work-based driven learning, including study programmes, work experience, supported internships, apprenticeships and other provision as required. You will ensure that all learning and development of independence skills are provided context and linked to the world of adulthood.
The Complete Education Solution (TCES)
TCES is an independent social enterprise, providing specialist education based in London supporting exceptional neurodiverse children and young people aged 7 to 19 who have special educational needs and disabilities typically associated with autism, social emotional and mental health needs and associated disorders. Most of them will have experienced multiple placement breakdowns and significant trauma, often resulting in behaviour that challenges. On average pupils will have been excluded from other provisions up to three times before reaching us and had significant periods out of education.
TCES pupils learn at one of our two schools, Create in the Community service or within our Home Learning service; Create in the Community and Create Learning Primary support our most complex and vulnerable pupils, with TCES East London and TCES North West London supporting those who are able to access learning within a school environment. When they are ready, we aim for pupils to step down from Create into one of our main schools, TCES Sixth Form, and mainstream provision.
TCES Create in the Community deliver bespoke learning and therapeutic interventions to neurodiverse pupils, who have a range of complex needs, and who demonstrate behaviours linked to tier 3 / 4 traumas. Pupils are encouraged to find and express their creativity and provided opportunities to achieve awards, alongside traditional subjects, as they move from dependence on others to independence through intensive therapeutic interventions.
Essential requirements to be successful in the role are:
* Be a Qualified Teacher (holding QTS or QTLS).
* Substantial experience of supporting neurodiverse children, or with Autism (ASC) and/or Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH) and an understanding of potential implications for communication, learning and behaviour; able to promote de-escalation and emotional regulation, supporting young people in forming and sustaining effective relationships.
* Relevant post 16 teaching qualification or experience within post 16 provisions.
* Working knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, National Curriculum, Functional Skills, relevant BTEC and Key Stage requirements.
* Understand the further education landscape and to be up to date with the latest developments from the DfE / Ofsted.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Demonstrable experience as an outstanding teacher, role modelling best practice.
* Functional Skills teaching experience in Maths and English is an advantage.
