What Does a Land & Utility Surveyor Do?
Land and utility surveyors play a crucial role in mapping and assessing sites for construction, infrastructure, and development projects. They use advanced technology, such as Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electromagnetic Locators, to detect underground utilities and provide accurate data for safe and efficient planning. Their work ensures projects are completed with precision, compliance, and minimal risk to existing structures and services.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
* Assist experienced Land & Utility Surveyors in carrying out surveys.
* Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Operate Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electromagnetic survey equipment (full training provided).
* Travel to different locations, including early starts, occasional unsocial hours, and short stays away from home.
* Gain hands-on experience while progressing towards formal industry-standard training and qualifications.
